Burlington field hockey wins in overtime for first win

Grace Kahl struck for the winning goal with 2:04 left in overtime and the Burlington High School field hockey team captured its first win of the season, blanking Middlebury 1-0 at Buck Hard Field on Tuesday.

Hamdi Jafar set up Kahl’s winner while BHS goalie Rotha Ibrahim posted eight saves in the shutout.

The Seahorses improve to 1-6-1 on the season.

Cassie Bettis stopped 16 shots for Middlebury.
